FOTSC Strategic Planning: 2023-2028
The Friends of Taupō Swamp & Catchment Strategic and Operational Plan 2023-2028
was formed as a result of a community and stakeholder Hui held late 2022 in
St Andrews Hall, Plimmerton.
Participants from many of FOTSC’s key partners and supporters met to share thoughts
on the outcomes of the FOTSC 5 year restoration plan and what the next five years’ strategic and operational objectives might look like for the organisation.
This planning document is the result of extensive input and will inform the
organisation’s work as it is faced with a number of challenges, not the least being
climate change and planned urbanisation within the catchment.

Friends of Taupō Swamp & Catchment
FOTSC has partnered with local Drone experts, CRATOS Ltd, who kindly provide
annual footage of the wetlands in the FOTSC restoration area, Plimmerton. This
information assists us with weed and pest management, and gives us timely updates
about flooding events, siltation and plant growth.
